My name is Javan Tsosie, I am a graphic designer from the Navajo Reservation. My goal is to make design clean, simple, and communicate in an effective way. Another one of my goals is to take graphic design into ministry simply because thats where my passion is. I graduated from Northland Pioneer College with Associates in Arts with General Studies. I am graduating in April of 2017 from Fort Lewis College with a Bachelor in Arts of Graphic Design. My skills include graphic design, print making, and sculpture work. I’m completely open to working with any media, even if its one I’ve never used before. I’m always willing to learn new skills and develop even further, personally and with others.
Design Philosophy
Design communication should be able to do just that, communicate; in a clear and simple way that gets people thinking. It should be something that someone can read immediately. It has the ability to give different perspectives and insights of both the artist creating it and the audience it’s being communicated to. It also can change how we see the world, how we interact with things, discover new places/things. Design also has the potential to impact the community around it, depending on how it is used.
